About the artist and his artworkPaul Signac was born on November 11, 1863 in Paris and died on August 15, 1935. He was a French landscape painter, close to the libertarian movement, who pioneered pointillism, along with painters Seurat and Henri-Edmond Cross. He developed the Divisionism technique. This oil on canvas was produced in 1921 and is now in the Muse d’Orsay in Paris.
